EVV - Electronic Visit Verifcation

HAAS IS TRANSITIONING TO E V V WITH THE COMPANY, HHAEXCHANGE.


This is a system which replaces time sheets with electronic sign in at the start and sign out at the end of your visit to your client. The Federal Government initiated the mandate for all home health care services to use E V V and Minnesota has mandated that agencies implement by 2023. All PCA agencies will have to use E V V in the future. EVV will be initially mandated for Personal Care Assistants and caregivers providing Individual Home Supports. Caregivers providing Homemaking and those providing Individual Community Living Supports (ICLS), will not be required to use EVV until a later time.


How to register with HHAExchange and get the app for your phone


The easiest way to get started with EVV using HHAExchange is to use their free app on your smart phone, either Apple or Android.


If you are not able to use a smart phone with GPS and with the HHAExchange app installed, you may ask your client if you can use their phone to register your visits. Please let us know so that we can contact the client as well.


If the client does not want you to use their phone, we will need to request a FOB for you which will stay at the client`s home. You will need to use the FOB to get codes when you check in and out of your shift. The codes will have to be called in later from your home phone or other phone to which you have access. Please let us as soon as possible if you will need a FOB to register your visits.

Logging in to HHAExchange

  • Use the Email address and password that you used to set up your account to login to HHAExchange.
  • If you login to the app before you have contacted HAAS with your Mobile ID, an error message will display.
    • You are not linked to an agency. You must be linked to an agency prior to accessing the system. Contact your agency with your Mobile ID number xxxxxxxx to be confirmed. An email confirmation with this ID number was previously emailed.
  • If you have sent HAAS your Mobile ID number (and we have had time to add it to the system), you will see either mobile app home page for HAAS or (if you work for more than one agency), the agency selection page.
  • From the HAAS agency home page, you will be able to see Scheduled Visits, Unscheduled Visits, Patients, Messages, Open Shifts and Availability.
