Caregiver
Caregivers are the heart of HAAS. You spend the most time with our clients — providing the kind of consistent, caring presence that makes home care work. The role suits people with patience, observation skills, and an instinct for treating others with dignity.
— What you’ll do
The day-to-day.
- Provide personal care assistance: bathing, dressing, transfers, mobility, meals, medication reminders.
- Support household tasks: light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, errands when authorized.
- Document care provided each shift in keeping with state and HAAS standards.
- Communicate with clients, families, and HAAS supervisors about changes in needs or concerns.
- Build rapport with clients while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
- Follow each client's individualized care plan.
— What we’re looking for
Qualifications.
- PCA/CFSS training certification (or willingness to complete it before placement — HAAS supports this).
- Reliable transportation to client homes.
- Background check clearance per Minnesota DHS requirements.
- Professional, respectful communication with clients and families.
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates strongly encouraged.
- Awareness of the Minnesota 310-hour monthly limit on PCA work across all agencies.
